If you want to order your repeat prescription online, you must register with us. You will need to visit reception and bring some photo identification with you (passport or drivers licence). We will then provide you with a secure user name and password.
This username and password will be unique for you to access your own repeat prescription record, you will not be able to order on behalf of any other family members. Each patient will need their own user name and password to enable them to order their repeat items online. You will actually access part of your clinical records (known as SYSTMONLINE) to request your order.
You will be able to view a full list of your repeat items, without the need to enter any medication details yourself. You can simply select those you need to re-order and your request will automatically be sent to our dispensary. There is also a box for you to add any additional relevant information.
Parents or an adult with parental responsibility can obtain their child’s username and password so that they can order repeat prescriptions on behalf of the child concerned. However, from the age of 13 years old an individual is deemed to be a “young adult” and will be able to obtain their own user name and password. This is to enable a young adult to choose if they want to consult a doctor independently and confidentially.

A repeat prescription is an item of medication that your GP allows you to re-order each month without a consultation being necessary. This item appears on your ‘repeat list’. Please ask at the prescriptions desk if you would like a copy of your list or are unsure what this is.
Any item that is not on your repeat list can be requested from the GP, however they may request that you attend an appointment or speak to them to discuss this further.

At the Surgery – You can bring your repeat order request slip into the surgery circling the items required and place in the box provided in reception.
By Post – Post your repeat order request slip to us circling the items required, addressing your envelope to the dispensary. If you wish for it to be returned by post, please enclose a stamped address envelope.
Please note that in order to minimise the risk of any mistakes being made, we no longer accept telephone requests for repeat prescriptions.
The prescription will be ready for collection from the surgery two full working days later. Please remember if it is being sent to the pharmacy they will require additional time to dispense the prescription particularly if items are out of stock.

The dispensary telephone line will be available Monday to Friday between 09:00 to 13:00 and 14:30 to 17:30.
Order in Time
Do not panic over the bank holiday periods but if you know that your medication is coming to an end, please remember to order slightly earlier to allow for this. Supplying a month's (28 days) worth of medication at a time is a requirement set out by NHS Norfolk. Certain medication requires you to have regular blood pressure checks, blood tests or to attend specialist clinics. We put in bright yellow slips with the prescriptions if we notice you need to attend the surgery for a review, blood test or perhaps a blood pressure check etc.
All medications require at least an annual review, even if you have not used all your authorised repeats from your GP.
For reasons of confidentiality and safety we suggest that you collect your repeat prescription in person. If this is not possible and you have given someone else permission to collect your prescription on your behalf, please be aware that your full list of repeat medications will be attached.
- Please remember to bring along any relevant exemption details or you may be charged for the prescriptions.
- We can only accept payment in the form of cash or a cheque.
- No faxed requests can be accepted due to issues of confidentiality.
